Sonny Bono, that Iam Neeson's wife, etc, etc...but none of them were wearing a helmet.
Don't worry, I'm gonna put fresh brakes on that bike.

Christopher Reeve was wearing a helmet, but he was horseback riding not skiing. My point is it's easy to break your neck with a helmet on not that people break their neck.

You don't really make much of a point, I'm still gonna fly balls out down that hill on this junky bike that I just bought.

There will be no clear winner here..
No1 son spent £180 on a motorbike helmet and 6 weeks later had his huge crash. The helmet didn't have much impact when tested after the accident (they do that here to make sure the helmet isn't sub-standard and a report is returned to the manufacturer), but at 45mph well, two broke femurs was enough.
Daughter got knocked off her pushbike one morning going to work and was lectured about not wearing a helmet, but the doctor said the helmet would not have saved her from injury to her jaw which snapped in the cheek bone.
I often wondered if this had triggered something to do with her death two and half years later though.

Of course a helmet should be worn if there is a brain to save Giggle

I have never had a bicycle helmet do shit for me.......yet.
I'm pretty sure I might be dead if not for a good motorcycle helmet.
