Upstairs bathroom remodel. - Jamminitin - 08-20-2010

We are working on it. Now, I know re-models ALWAYS take longer than anticipated, but oh boy.

Hubby had to re-do some plumbing (not a plumber.at.all) as the pix will show, and have had to do other extras.

Took pix with my cell so don't bitch about the quality.

Before: Plain white tile

Water damage to the ceiling in my walk-in closet.
[attachment=1197]

Wall with built in shelf.
[attachment=1199]

Water faucet being changed due to it being a completely different size than the original.
[attachment=1200]

Part of the mess and fun of re-modeling.
[attachment=1201]

New shower tiles. Will have the mosiac insert for decoration.

Very nice tiles!

You ain't kidding when you say it takes longer than anticipated! I'm STILL waiting to get that room sheetrocked so I can paint and finish and get my computer and stuff moved in there!

Then we start with another room! Gah

Thanks.

I have all my projects lined up, and this one was at the bottom of the list until the leak. Fortunately it's the secondary (kids) bathroom so it won't completely break the bank. Am not doing anything extravagant and got stuff on sale. We are only re-doing the shower/toilet area for now, so will have the sub flooring hanging out for a while. The picture with the mess is the other side of the bathroom and we will be doing dual sinks, (just one right now) and new cabinetry, lighting, flooring, painting etc etc Just too expensive when we weren't budgeting for it. Cash is king in our house and right now the Emporer has no clothes-meh

My master bath is a whole different story.

You have more than one bathroom!
This house was built in 1903 with an outside toilet. Still has Wink except it is a low flush system now.

The tin bath in front of the fire went during the war, and we had to build a room to make a bathroom not longer after we moved in after 1988.

I usually invent new swear words whenever I have to work on something.
About a year ago my bike shop room got turned into a first floor laundry room. I invented fartfuckingopolis working on that one.

Oh Twistee I like it. I really, really like it. That will be my new word of the week and I will let you know how it goes over.

So I'm not alone?

How about sonofaratfucker?

I kind of like sonofaratfucker, I usually just string swear words together, very, very, long strings of swear words, racial slurs, and words that mean poop. I know it doesn't make sense, but it sounds cooler than saying Fudge!!
