Someone around in the Buffalo area actually had the idea to have a store sell only stuff made in America.
It's been open for a few years now.

That guy from Cheers - wtf is his name? Ratzenberger? Did a show about products made solely in America. I don't know how many seasons it had, but there are quite a bit of stuff that is still made here. I think it prompted a website but that one I'm not so sure still exists. I'll have to dig around and see.

hey slopes is more offensive than darkies

It's still kind of a shame though, there are way more goods that are made in America than what they sell in that store and a lot of that stuff they have is just junk really. Fly swatters, plastic snow block makers, really, that's the best America has to offer?
I like the Case knives, that's some good old American quality, but there is way more good stuff out there.

I like how when I say I bought an American car some idiot has to go on and on with, "You do know that a kabillion of those parts are made in Canada?" No shit Sherlock. Last time I checked Canada was on the same continent and that continent is called North AMERICA. That's America enough for me. It ain't Japan or China or some mud pit in Malaysia.

An even better one is when people go on how my car sucks compared to foreign / Japanese models and well they all have plants here now so technically they're made in America. No they're not. They're assembled here. Big difference. Stupid clown cars have just as many issues and recalls as everyone else too.

OK, rant over.

There's some artificial Christmas tree company up in New England that is 100% made here too. Really nice fake trees too.

Found that site... sadly it's quite a short list. I don't know if that's because the site is one of those "find it and submit" things or if they actually have researchers looking for things. I really can't believe that we manufacture that little here. There has to be more.

You missed my point. It's those who think because they ride rice their car is by default of better quality. I never said I bragged that mine is. Most times the idiots volunteer the info in the middle of a conversation. I've no idea why they seem to think they need to tell me stupid shit I already know.

Not sure about HD using Indonesian parts. I toured their factory in York several times and I saw them machining nuts and bolts right there in the factory via robot. Maybe some of the parts for their Buell line? I dunno. I'll have to look into that. They may have moved to out of USA parts since I've been there last.

That's what I was going to change your av to Tongue

Know what's funny? If you really take note of Reiner's character in the show, he wasn't so liberal compared to today's libs.
