I lied, here's another one... I was talking about going grocery shopping really early in the morning, the store is empty and I used the Coinstar machine and how loud it was... she had to interrupt to ask why I didn't go to the credit union to do it. Does it fucking matter where I went? Then she kept insisting that they charged me for it until I finally got fed up and got their site online to show the store vouchers are 1 for 1 exchange. Everything's a god damn battle of wills, 9 hours a day.

And she is wrong on the "wood bark" business. There are chips in there as well. That's what they do with all the "leftover" wood and wood that isn't good enough to make into boards or whatever they're making.

Go buy a small bag of wood chips and sort that shit out on her desk and be like show me that every piece here is bark and not also chips from the middle of the tree.

Here's an idea. Just buy the bag, sort it out on her desk when she's not around and leave a note asking her to weed out the bark from the chips because they are needed for the landscaping. Leave the bag on the floor for her to weed out the whole thing. It would be even better if you can get the whole office in on it with you.

It's asinine. It would be like saying roots aren't wood. ANYWAY, there's no way she didn't fucking know what I was talking about and that's just one example of an unending stream of corrections. A good smartassed response would have been when she "corrected" you by saying wood bark........you could have stopped dead and replied "Maybe if I were a dog!"

I'd bet that would go over her head like an F-18 at full throttle but anyone listening to the exchange would at the very least snicker.

We've got a meeting every morning at 6:15 and one of the guys came into the breakroom with a bottle of that smart water stuff, different brand but you know what I mean. He sat down at the table but put his bottle slightly behind him where he couldn't see it. I picked it up to read the content label, it was very obvious that's what I was doing. My co-worker with the correction problem was on the other side of me and starts grabbing for the bottle, snapping her fingers and saying "GIVE IT TO ME!" Unfortunately I handed it over and said I was trying to see how much sugar was in it. She looks at me like I'm an idiot and said "none" then proceeded to hide the bottle as a joke.

I dunno about you, but I don't like being ordered around like that, much less having someone snap their fingers for me to obey them.

We got back up to the office and I told her that her behavior really annoyed me, that I was trying to read the content label and I didn't appreciate her grabbing it out of my hand. She got a bit shrill and said she didn't know I was reading the label (seriously?), said "sorRY!" and when I asked if she understood why I was annoyed, she said "excuse me for living!" to which I said "so I guess you don't understand why I was annoyed"... we didn't talk the rest of the day.
