Back in California, I used Kaiser and you could basically walk in and be seen for a common problem, specialists took a tiny bit longer but there usually wasn't a problem and in my experience, they were all at the very least competent. Since moving here, we're required to find our own doctor that covers our insurance and they could suddenly move or decide they don't take your insurance any longer. And the horror stories I've heard of Utah medical "accidents". Jesus, I just hope I don't need surgery, they'd probably remove the wrong organ.

That bad over there?

Some of those walk in clinics here are pretty good, but I'm beyond that. I had the same doctor since moving here and since the main guy sold the practice to the hospital, the place got real shitty in regard to the business end of things. I just can't believe these guys just up and leave with full knowledge of this going to happen when they see you last and say come back in two weeks. It's a douche bag move IMO.

I should just find someone closer for my GP. I have every intention of getting a new GP but not until the fall when I can change insurance companies. I was hoping until then things can go smoothly. I apparently was wrong. Looks like I'll be going through a 'breaking in' process twice now.

Not so much a walk in but they always had same day appointments in a huge centralized building, Kaiser got a lot of complaints for being impersonal but I didn't have a problem with that.

Yeah, same thing as the "walk in" things here. They're big, not as big as Kaiser (have heard of them) but those same day appointments are nice when you need something quick. Who cares if they're impersonal? If it gets the job done, fine.

Kaiser had a lot of complaints for a lot of things, specially back in the 80's. Seems like there was even a movie about it, but I don't remember the name. Seems to me like they have come a long ways. We use them here, mostly because they are cheaper than the alternatives. I don't have any issues at all with them. Can get in the same day, took care of my blood pressure no problem. I have heard that some people with more complex issues are not as happy, but it's all anecdotal evidence so far.

This annoys the shit out of me... I get junk email from someone I used to work with and occasionally it's some great stuff. Photos from exotic lands, interesting videos, cute animal stories but more often than not, she'll send some lying piece of shit "news" story that blames the world's problems on Obama.

This one starts off with a relatively interesting story and then some asshole throws in a bunch of bullshit that many people don't bother to research and end up swallowing it whole. Idiots.

Pretend there are a few photos in there, I'm too lazy to include them and they aren't really worth the bother.

Quote:The first picture and the last picture are taken at the beach in Santa Barbara right next to the pier.
There is a veterans group that started putting a cross and candle for every death in Iraq and Afghanistan .
The amazing thing is that they only do it on the weekends. They put up this graveyard and
take it down every weekend. Guys sleep in the sand next to it and keep watch over it at night so
nobody messes with it.

Every cross has the name, rank and D.O.B. and D.O.D. on it.

Very moving, very powerful??? so many young volunteers. So many 30 to 40 year olds as well.

Amazing !

Did you know that the ACLU has filed a suit to have all military cross-shaped headstones removed?, and that they filed another suit to end prayer from the military completely. They're making great progress.

The Navy Chaplains can no longer mention Jesus' name in prayer thanks to the ACLU and our new administration.

Keep forwarding this e-mail to others. I'm not breaking this one. I'm asking that you not break it either.

It's all complete and utter bullshit which a 20 second search on google verified... at several sites. Here's one: http://www.factcheck.org/2009/07/aclu-an...y-crosses/

It's like Rush Limbaugh has taken over the world or something. Assholes.

Yeah, its a total shame, because there is far more than enough factual material to indict him for a host of things.

Turning loose a complete economic moron, saddled with unadulterated Collectivist drivel, is the perfect combination for ruining our economic health. And Junior, before him, wasn't all that much better either, because he opened the door for the Bamster to stroll in and start trashing everything. So lets not give it the "Yeah, but Bush was worse" shit. They both suck, but the later one sucks so much more, that's all.

"Ruining our economic health" implies it was actually healthy when he inherited this mess.

Granted. But pulling out a pistol and shooting the sick patient is not the best solution. And his excuse? We have to promote fairness, whatever that really means to him.

Last I remember the definition of 'fairness' is Equality before the Law, not afterwards. That is nothing more than Egalitarianism. Hopefully the little Prick will be retiring next January 20th, and all his countless executive orders will be rolled back.

And don't accuse me of being a Republican, as in Dumbass. They are almost, but not quite, as bad. I can't stand either of them. When the GOP isn't being a pure Dumbass, they are trying their best to be Jackass Lite.

Morons.

I get emails like that all the time too. When I told one of the senders that 99% of the stuff they send me are totally fabricated, they reply with, "Yeah but it's fun to send them along anyway."

I asked him to stop. I don't like propaganda and I think that when someone sends this out, more often than not, his "friends" are more ignorant and gullible than he knows. He shouldn't preach to morons who would believe it. He hasn't emailed me in three years now. Good.
