As I get older, there are more and more things that really piss me off: especially people. I'm very good at doing 'things', but not too good in dealing with 'people'. That's why I do wholesale work instead of retail.

However, right now I am pissed off with frustration for not being able to finish a pair of speakers I started making four years ago, got fed up with them, and walked away from from the project. I have my self-employed business in my downstairs basement, and those cabinets are always staring at me every time I go down there.

Well, I'm again trying to finish them, and they need a set of diffraction lenses/waveguides sitting on top, so as to disperse the sound that is supposed to be firing upward. But making the lense assemblies are whet caused me to quit before. And I can't seem to get the mold making down pat, before I even begin to tackle the resin pouring process.

That has me pissed off now.

I'm going to start a thread here, and see if there is anyone interested in things like audio and speaker building. And I definitely could use help in casting urethane resin.

Here's the point I reached before running into the wall: http://inlinethumb03.webshots.com/41346/...500Q85.jpg

Definitely start a thread somewhere separate from this one for this. Someone here should be able to help you. I think Music forum would be a good place or maybe the DIY section?

Wow, some one is really clever, even if he doesn't feel like it at the moment.

Errrr....I'm of no use at all.
Wait.....I mean I don't know anything at all.
Hold on, that didn't sound right either.
I know nothing....about speaker building.

Well that's fine. I can also use all the encouragement I can get, even if the encouragement comes from someone who is not an expert. Wink

That should help keep me from being so pissed off with this project.

I have a "hello" with a pause long enough so they think I'm actually on the other end. They go on and on until the rest of the message kicks in. It's hysterical. It fools the same people time and again too, mostly my mom and Matt's dad.

I'll have to record it for you guys. I am pretty sure I posted a really funny conversation on the old board here where a prospective customer called me and got the hello. She was on one phone and her hubby was on the other and they actually had a full conversation with each other until the machine cut them off 4 minutes later. I should see if I have that still, it was a riot.

I FOUND IT! Turns out I have it on the server the whole time too.
It's not as long as I thought - only about a minute.

Anyway, this first one is my answering machine message:

This one is the nut cases talking over my message and you'll hear the man say "lets' wait this out" or some shit and start talking to each other. Keep in mind they are in the same house - they could have hung up and talked to each other in person.

Ah, but your voice was the first one, right? This is what stuck out at me. I didn't both much with the other one as it was too long for my attention span here today. It all sounds close enough to be the same to me. Always reminds me of Fran from the nanny for some reason.
