I heard a headline - teaser yesterday about this and never stayed still long enough to hear the story. I'm afraid to read it. Fucking idiots.

It just shows how fucked up our economy is and how much we let other countries get away with devaluing our dollar and cheapening their labor force. That they can actually ship boat loads of chickens to the other side of the world to just be gutted and cut up and then shipped back.

No what we should do is lobby for legislation that forces companies to provide full disclosure on the location/s where every portion of the manufacturing process to produce the product occured, what it was, and when. By the time they look at the costs of editing a report like that for every case of (lets just say chicken for starters) product as opposed to the pennies they are saving from outsourcing it may just create a few domestic jobs in the process of making it much easier for the average citizen of the unites states of idiocracy to buy 'murican and avoid lets just say asian and the pacific island manufacturers...
