Getting my hair done today.

Sitting in the chair I comment: This looks way too orange. (this is the formula before it's on my head)
My Stylist: It's the same as it is. It's the one you just picked out. (dollar says she is wrong)

So I let her do her thing. 10 mins go by and it's getting more orange.
I ask the stylist who isn't doing my hair to get Jess.
She asks why. I say it's too orange.

Stylist who ISN'T doing my hair: It needs to oxidize.

She gets my stylist.
I ask her if she used the same formula she usually does or did she mix some of that orange I told her not to in there. She insists she did the same formula.

Dollar says she didn't.

Stylist Cunt who isn't doing my hair proceeds to lecture me on how hair color works and how it's going to oxidize. < she says this in a real cunty tone.

I proceed to explain to her that I am a stylist and I know this is fucking orange. She tries to tell me she's been doing hair for 30 years blah blah blah. I explain I have been doing hair longer than her and I am good at my job. In fact, I'm FUCKING EXCELLENT at my job.

So I let it go. Good thing I brought my own color with me just in case.

We rinse and have a look. Well whaddya know! IT'S FUCKING ORANGE.
Cunt that isn't doing my hair comments to Jess, "Did you put some neutral in there? You should have put some neutral in there."

I'm biting my tongue. No matter what they put in there it would NOT 'oxidize' to VIOLET. Orange is NOT in the same color zone as VIOLET. Banghead

Still biting my tongue.

Jess wanted to "figure out a fix". I figured out a fix, gave her the color formula and told her how to proceed.

Cunt who isn't doing my hair wouldn't even look me in the eye after this. I continued to bite my tongue. She left soon after and good thing, because I don't think I'd have held my tongue once the shop emptied out. I kept Jess later than she wanted because I was not leaving there with orange hair.

People need to realize I know whatthefuck I'm talking about!

I don't give a shit how long Cunt who isn't doing my hair has been working. Doesn't mean she is any good at what she does. I watched her give a haircut to a man with very short hair. 45 minutes. Oy, and i was not impressed. She left a "hole" behind his ears. idiot

For a while now I have noticed a steady increase in the level of incompetence when I deal with people.

It's getting to the point where I wonder how the hell people can keep their jobs. I run into it with: cashiers, wait staff, customer service representitives, sales staff, and have listened to (truck driving) friends detail examples from dispatchers and load planners, fuel and routing planners, repair shops and a whole range of management personnel.

Reading Twitch's post about the hair coloring fuck up prompted me to start this thread.

I'm sure we ALL run into incidences of incompetent assholery on a sadly regular basis so why not have a place to document/bitch about them?

Oh fuck - I can write a book on the in-competencies I come across on a daily basis. I have dumbed down what I say to people so there is NO mistake of what I'm saying and I swear they just are not listening. NO one can be that stupid. It's rampant and I swear I find myself biting my tongue daily.

Alright then................here's my initial example of douchbaggyness at work.


I have had the same cell phone provider for over 10 years. I was a very happy camper with Immix cellular and had nothing but good experiences in dealing with them over the years. If I had a problem all I had to do was give them a call and we always came up with a satisfactory solution. Many times they let me delay making my payment due to cashflow problems and waive any late fees. GREAT company to work with!

Last September they were bought out by a company called Limitless Mobile. Leading up to the buyout they gave us hints that something was happening and touted it in the usual manner of business that "exciting changes are coming".

Ok, the line went that better coverage, more plan options, increased data ability blah blah blah were in the works.

In August, before the official takeover day I renewed my contract and bought 4 new phones since 1. I needed some new phones and 2. they had a pretty good deal going on the ones I wanted. Normally I get unlocked phones from an Ebay shop that has always done right by me and has great prices but this time Immix beat their price and all of the phones they sell are also unlocked anyway.

Takeover day arrives and I get text messages announcing it. So far so good and I notice no difference at all.
A few days go by and I get a call from the new customer rep who explains that I can change to the new system or remain with what I currently have if I want to. He explains the new system and its "advantages". I decide that it sounds like a good thing so we then get into details.

He goes over the costs and it turns out that it will be a significant increase which I tell him I'm not ready to pay. Predictably he goes into sales mode and highlights the advantages trying to justify the increased cost. Then he tells me that the "new system" is essentially going over to Verizon without being a Verizon subscriber.

(#1 thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth as I dealt with Verizon in the past and they and I DO not see eye to eye!)

Next he tells me that I'll need to get new phones. WHAT? I JUST BOUGHT NEW PHONES! I tell him this and he says "But the ones you bought won't work with the new system".
(#2 on the fuck you and piss off list)

At this point he gives me a list of the phones I would need to get and not one of them is one I like at all. PLUS the least expensive one on the list is a crappy Alcatel and it goes for $229.00. Realize that I have 4 phones on the plan. I damn sure don't have just short of a fucking grand to spend on new phones to replace my one month old phones just so I can be a Verizon wannabe customer.

If I wanted to be with Verizon I would not have renewed the contract and went with them. Verizon is way fucking overpriced on their plans and have some pretty restrictive policies that cost you even more $$$$ if you don't follow their precice rules. Hence....I am not a Verizon subscriber.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO......I tell him forget the new system, I'll just stay on the old one.

NOW he tells me that I need to get their "optional" equipment insurance in order to continue with the old system. This costs me $10.00/month x 4 lines. I argue that I never had it before and don't want it now. He informs me that it is REQUIRED under their terms to stay on the old system. My monthly bill now goes up to $226.00 for the service and I'm fucking stuck since I had just renewed before the takeover. FUCK ME!

The incompetence starts shortly after this.

I research a bit and find that my present phone would DAMN SURE work with the "new system" as they are capable of operating on the necessary frequencies on all the bands Verizon uses. The only thing I would not have had was 4G LTE service. Big fucking deal. I still would get up to 3G on the HSDPA band. This shows that they are either incompetent or fucking liars. OR BOTH.

Next....I don't get a bill right away. When I do, my billing date changes from the 10th of the month to the 30th. Ok.....it fucks with my budget but I can adjust. When I look at the bottom line it says I owe over $400.00!

WTF? I call and they explain that the first month was pro rated and added to the current bill so I now owe essentially 2 months and will be cut off if I don't pay by the due date. I ask why and they say it's because I'm a month behind. I fire back with "How can I pay a bill I didn't get?" Their answer was "Well you have it now".

I scrape and manage to pay them but end up shorting a few other things in order to do it.

These dipshits somehow manage to LOSE the payment! I send the PROOF I paid and a week later they magically "find" it.

A few months go by and my daughter manages to break her phone to the point that it will only let her text and make outgoing calls. Ok....time to use that fucking insurance they made me get. I call and they tell me I need to bring it to a physical store location. The nearest one is 45 fucking miles away! Then they tell me I'll need to pay $100.00 up front to get a replacement phone (they say it's the deductable portion of the policy). WTF?
I only paid $100 for the fucking phone to begin with and have already paid $50 for the "insurance"!
Fuck that!

Max puts up with the limited capability and we work out a system with her that we will text her and then she can call out to us. I plan on getting her a new unlocked phone from Ebay and all we need to do is swap the SIM.

Next I try paying the bill on their website (in March) and the damn site is a fucking disaster. Finally I give up and just call a store to pay them. Ok....got it done. THEN in April I see a charge on my account that I don't recognize so I call my bank and stop payment. It turns out that it's LIMITLESS but it isn't their name on the charge. Now first off I DID NOT authorize them to take payments automatically but they did. Second, this payment cause my account to overdraft costing me a $35.00 fee. If I had done as I needed to and waited 2 more days to pay them there would have been no problem as I would have gotten paid and had the needed money. IT WASN'T EVEN AT THE DUE DATE! Due date was 3 days away when they did this!

Due to stopping the payment I had to get a new card from the bank as they treated it as if it were potential identity theft/card fraud. (Good policy really from the bank. Shows they actually care.)

NOW the incompetence begins in ernest.

I figure out it was Limitless (by the amount charged compared to the latest paper bill) so I contact them.

They give me some line of shit and half-heartedly apologise for the "mixup". I contact the bank and fill them in. The bank reinstates the payment to them and I figure it's done. Albeit it costs me $35.....done.

NOPE!

Incompetent fucks at Limitless can't find the payment. It takes them a couple months and many emails back and forth including my sending them a copy of my bank statement PROVING that they were in fact paid. THIS doesn't even resolve it until THEY say they had THEIR bank contact MY bank and finally found the payment. In the meantime I get an email from their customer rep saying that since they have now resolved the matter my payment due for July 30 was NOTdue and that I shoulod enjoy my 4th of July with an apology for the inconvenience.

Ok...that works.

Now the August bill arrives and it's over $400 again! PLUS they cut my service with no disconnect notice.
I call and they say I DIDN'T pay for July so I owe 2 months.
I send them a copy of the email saying I didn't have a payment due July 30th.

Barb calls them and they say they need to speak to ME about it. She informs them that I am working and don't have hours allowing me to call them from home because their hours won't allow it and that they cut off the only way THEY could call me. They turn my service back on but don't call.

Next they come up with the lame shit that the fuck that sent me the letter saying I didn't owe in July "mis-typed" in his letter and really meant I didn't owe UNTIL July 30th. Now I'm pretty sure he was covering his ass with that one. Now fucking way am I gonna take this shit. His letter was an official communication from the company and so I took it for what it said. His fuck up.....HE is responsible for the unpaid amount!

I come to find out that both the unauthorized auto deduction from my bank AND his fuck up constitute breaches of contract and therefore release me from them and any early termination fees if I leave.

We draft up a letter informing them of this and state we are terminating service as of that date and asked for them to release our numbers so we could take them to a different company. We attach all the emails we got from them to support it.

What do they do? Turn on all the phones!

Next I get an email from dickhead saying he forwarded my letter to his supervisor so that we could resolve the matter. RESOLVE WHAT? I terminated!!!!!

Now while this was going on we contacted T-Mobile and they asked their legal department about it. Legal said we were correct and we could sign with them and bring our numbers over.

Next I get an email from the idiots saying that they would waive termination fees and release our numbers provided we paid the $446.00 and returned "THEIR" phones. THEIR PHONES? Uh no. I bought them outright BEFORE they took over so they are MY FUCKING PHONES which were bought and paid for BEFORE these fucks were involved.

They couldn't even read that I wanted the service terminated as of the date in the email.

The SIM cards from T-Moble arrived and we just took it on the chin and after 10 years of the same numbers went ahead and changed to new numbers. Far less bullshit than fighting with the Limitless Stupidity dickwads.

Put in the cards and VIOLA we are now hooked to T-Mobile.

Limitless will get their SIMS back and $226.00 which is the ONE payment that I DO owe them. If they don't like it well....TOO FUCKING BAD! I can fight it out with them and threaten legal intervention as we go. BUT...they aren't getting the 226 till it's "resolved". If they piss me off enough they won't even get that.

How's that for incompetence?

Jesus. You have way more patience than I would have had. I've been with Verizon since '98 and not a lick of bullshit. Granted they are expensive, but they pretty much bend over backwards for me when I need it.

BEFORE you turn in those sim cards make sure you wipe them out clean or they'll have anything sensitive you stored in there.

LOL you can put them all in the microwave for 1 second and fry them for spite too. Wink
I'd erase them first anyway.

Literally do it for 1 second and MAKE SURE you wipe them clean with your phones first just to be sure.

Funny how the stain on my towels from my hair is ORANGE.

What's really funny is that I showed her my hair two days after I did it myself and explained how I did it to her. FYI - you only got half the story.

OK well merge completed and as I suspected, it bumped my post to be as if I'm the original poster. Unless Dylan can and has time to run some kind of query, this happened because of the time stamps. My posts happened before this thread was created, thus the goof up.

incompetence abounds, Went to do a western union transfer today. Simple send a crappy $400 to my mortage company. They are happy when I do that from time to time. So I go to our local store. There I find a new system. You pick up a corded phone press genuine buttons and a operator comes on line. After a few minutes of pressing numbers for english, my phone number etc. The real person asked for the name of the company. OOOPs no such company listed. YOUR DONE, can't help you fuck off, come back when you have the right city code. DOH.. I had called the company for this information. Drive home. USE my computer to find another number for western union. Yep there's your company mame. I don't know what the other operator was talking about! Drive to another store so I can actually send the money. Do the phone thing press all the numbers. ... and MYSTICALLY poof there the company is in the system. Are a large portion of america's companies hiring people who can't read or speak english? it's very frustrating.
