Mmm.... that actually sounds good. I'll never get away with not going. and I agree.... marshmallows in sweet potatoes are an abomination.

Do you brine the bird first? I wish my mom would. Grosses me out seeing hunks of fat stuck in there after it's cooked.

Fucking beer prices have gone up dramatically over the last few years. Foodstuffs still cost the same, but come in smaller packages for that same price.

Oh man it isn't looking good I tell you.

You guys JUST noticing these things? I TOLD you when this prick gets elected this was going to be Jimmy Carter all over again! Didn't I? HMMMM? DIDN'T I?!

Holy shit Gunnen - if it's only beer by you and smaller goods that have gone up, you're doing good. Right now it's cheaper to go out to dinner (for 2) than it is to buy food and cook it. We're paying, hold on, $7 a POUND for fucking chopped meat! And that's the shit stuff with all the fat. You go and try to buy a steak. It's less than half an inch thin and it costs near $10 a pound for low grade crap.

EVERYTHING is smaller. Every fucking item in every package has either less in it or the pieces are smaller. Or both.

You don't get a pound of coffee anymore. You don't get a 5 pound bag of sugar anymore. That shit went out the door with Carter's administration and his fucking up of everything he touched and it stayed that way.

The EXCUSE for the high prices in the supermarkets is the price of gas. I call bullshit. Restaurants get their food delivered by the same kinds of vehicles that use the same types of fuel and probably just as often. So how come it's cheaper to eat out? There's also overhead in the restaurants like rent, insurance, employees etc.

Overhead in the supermarket is much less I imagine.

The only bargain here right now is our eggs. Shop Rite has loose eggs @ $2.69 / dozen and they are BIG double yolk beauties. Jumbo eggs twice, seriously, twice the size marked jumbo that come already packaged up for you.

Look at your pet food. When's the last time you saw a 5, 10, 20 pound bag of dry food? That's right - just before Carter 2 took office.

Inflation my ass.
