To think about it I got my first microwave, VCR player, stereo & computer from a real estate auction in 96.
Sure the computer was a tandy, but I was able to play games on it.. LMAO!!

Geeze start a frugal thread and you you can't shut her up blah blah blahh....lol...It is amazing however, how much money you can save by keeping a sharp eye out for quality or recyclable goods. Another item I SNAP up is old time covers for appliances like blenders. With a cat and dust in the house I spend half the time wiping off appliances when I need them. I snatch it off and go zoom. 50 cents a cover four covers for a month. Why do I SNAP them up? They are considered vintage hard to get new and cost up to $35.00 new plus shipping for a kitchen aide mixer...

Make your own out of dollar store kitchen towels Smile

I collect salt and pepper shakers. So these thrift shops here at times have some unique stuff. I started collecting them after I inherited a couple from my grandmother after she passed. She had a pair of monks and a pair of little Dutch kids that are awesome. If you go into the photography forum and look for the 'assignments' and find the one for things you collect the photo of the ones I have should be in there.

Hey what did you thrift shop your turkey for? Free from work counts list size! I love poundage!

Now keep in mind people I AM CREEPY. I CAN TELL you the price of sugar at four different grocery chains and poundage. Although I wont be checking for liars lol.

Here's what I did on the Sunday prior to my purchase I SHOPPED THE FLYERS including online. The only place this is impossible to do is WAL MART as they dont list in store prices on food. So beings the store we settled on was close to wal mart we checked the price of our preferred bird a butter ball at $1.18 per lb. they had no birds over 17 pounds we we require a 20-26lb bird. The store I HAD PREFERRED by sale was called boyers. now take into account I HAD already saved some gas money with cash savings with the drive by stopping at wAl mart. Boyets had a big deal. Buy $50.00 dollars of food excluding the turkey get your butter ball for a lovely 98 cents a pound. Here's what we did by buying buy one get one we saved 10.00 on beef. 1.40. On dry cat food. 2.25 on wet cat foid. 2.00 per pack on bacon x 2 this savings covered our gas exspense

Cents a pound however by spending the 50.00 and with gas and other savings and I usef coupons I got the bird free and it was..21 lbs. I love shopping with a plan.

Turkey dinner costs me nothing but gas (fuel) and aggravation.

I am sick of the holidays and if I never eat turkey the rest of my life it wouldn't bother me one whit.
