As much as people disagree or dont want to hear it,a legally owned animal is a persons property. What he did is legitimate since there was no animal abuse and he didnt kill the cat, it died naturally. I still find taxidermied wild animals to be creepy as fuck too, and it's not the sort of thing I want in my own home. and judging from other people's comments out there it seems that I'm not alone in this. so you're somewhat wrong about people not caring had it been a wild animal. of course, people who hunt and stuff like that tends to feel differently. *shrugs* However, I do agree that we do need to worry more about animals and human beings who had been abused, instead of worrying about those who died a natural death.

0 As far as legality goes, no the guy did nothing wrong. It's just a bit creepy, that's all. Maybe it wouldn't be so creepy if the expression on the stuffed kitty's face wasn't one of surprise.
I simply wouldn't take my beloved pet to a taxidermist. I have pictures to remember them by. To me, having the pet stuffed is just not letting go of them even after they pass on. As far as taxidermy with game animals from hunting goes, it's a different category. That falls under the classification of trophy. In that case the intent is to preserve the essence of a magnificent animal that came out on the losing end of the hunt that particular day. I DO NOT agree with those who hunt simply for the trophy. If you are going to go hunting then eat the game you take.

0 Mark went to see a friend of ours today. Her son had sent this You-Tube to her which was mighty tactless of him (he takes after his father).
She was so upset by it at first then Mark pointed out that maybe her son thought Raj (the cat) would like to be nearer the birds and this was an alternative. She has just spent £3,000 (!) on Raj having his jaw re-aligned after falling off scaffolding chasing birds. She liked the idea, but not using a real cat. Raj already has a plot paid for in the animal cemetery- just in case he out lives us all!

0 You know how sometimes you just want to remember a loved one when they were healthy and happy? This ain't it.

0 Buying a cemetery plot for a pet I just cant understand that, but then again I barely can justify why we do it for people.
