Jammin, 7 minutes to civilization isn't really that big of a ride. When I had the farm it was a half hour to anyplace useful. When I lived in the city public transportation was not bad at all. It's so much nicer not having to worry about where I'm going to park that 16' long truck of mine. It's just so congested in the city.

As for cabs, my father was a cabbie so I have no qualms with cabs. Well if they stink or have something offensive in there or look like shit, I wont' get in them. Dad taught me how to be picky.

No I wasn't saying it was far. It's just too far to take a cab. I mean the Twin Cities area is very metropoliton so to speak. I like being out far. I have done city and I have done country. I love the country.

Me too. I am in the 'burbs now and I absolutely hate it. Cabs here are outrageously expensive too. You can't go a mile for less than $20. Public transportation in NJ is a joke. Here, I drive everywhere. When I go to NYC, I park someplace and take cabs or public transit.

Well, I just made a ton of work for Matt when he walks in the door.

I pulled the TV and the stand away from the wall to clean it and decided the spaghetti of wires had to go. I pulled off one back panel on the stand and saw all these friggin' wires that were not even attached to anything and top it off, ALL the wired from the FiOS are like 8 feet long! We really don't need 8 feet of wire to travel 20 inches to the TV now, do we?

All kinds of shit isn't hooked up right. So, Mr. Audio/Video is now going to sort OUR stuff RIGHT.

he thinks when I said I pulled the thing away from the wall meant it's only a few inches. Nope... SURPRISE! that fucker is all the way across the room blocking the entry-way into the living room. I'm making sure he does not put this off until "later"!

That's wrong, he fucks with wires all day long and now he wants to come home and relax and he has to fuck with wires. That's like a plumber coming home to clogged up shitter.

Well, it's 5 years coming. It had to be done. He's still at it. One of the wires they had was 12 feet long and it only had a 10 inch run! My game systems are now ALL working so I can play with some old games now if I want.

He's tidying up stuff now and we'll be good to go in a few mins.

He doesn't mind really.

That'd be cool wouldn't it.

I couldn't fathom taking a cab. I've done it I think twice in my life. I also would shoot myself before having to take mass transit on a daily basis. We live out in the country and it's a 7 minute jaunt in any direction to get to a store.

Seven minutes? That would be kinda convenient for me!

I have a 6 mile trip to the nearest (but not the best) grocery store and 8 miles to the nearest convenience store. Friends from the next valley over have to run 13 miles to the same grocery and 8 miles but need to scale over a mountain to get to the same c-store.

Catching the Cash Cab would be unbelievably cool Twitch!
