0 They're all out now and just one or 2 of the rescue crew left. It's nice to hear a good story on the news for once.
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

0 What I find thrilling is that all this suffering has led to their financial gain lets hope that 10 minutes of stardom doesn't drive them crazy from their experience and lead to grave sadness. I want these men to excel recover and be happy fat and lazy from the over curious media of America and the rest of the world so that they are rich and safe for the rest of their lives.

0 I cannot imagine being trapped like that for 72 day. I would have gone mad.
They all did look remarkably well considering the circumstances. I mean, they shaved and everything for their trip up top.

0 I got to fill out a jury duty questionaire, I'm gonna do it on-line.
I hope I get picked, and I hope it's something good when I do get picked, and I hope I'm on the jury and I hope the trial lasts months.

0 Does your work pay you when you are on jury duty? Matt had jury duty for three days and his boss wouldn't pay him but made him take out for vacation days due him instead so he could get paid. In fact, the asshole told him he should try to get out of it! Moron.
I think they only paid him $5 per day for a certain amount of days and if it goes over that amount, they upped it to $15 / day.

In fact, the asshole told him he should try to get out of it! Moron. Over here it takes a lot to get out of jury service. The courts pay you a basic expenses and daily fee but it isn't great, so your employer HAS to make up the difference to get your normal wage. You cannot earn more of course. Some people are exempt and some they accept cannot do it. My boss got called up but he pointed out he had to pay someone to do his job (in other words the courts had to) it too expensive so he was excused. My dad got called up and he thought there was a mistake, he was in the police and exempt, only he was now retired. He looked up the waver only to find he wasn't exempt after 10 years. He looked up his retirement package....he had been retired 10 years and 2 months! We decided the courts pick the jury by first picking out the electrol role by pin, then the first name on the house. Our neighbour Dave (not Debbie or Grant) My dad Colin (not Tess or Russ) Their neighbour Barbara (not Les) Our daughter Christine, but not her dad Christopher Odd that Take a good crossword with you Twisteroo. Both my dad and daughter held up the courts because the whole jury were doing a 'timed crossword' trying to beat the clock ran over but refused to go back until they got the last word- the usher got involved too My daughter got into trouble handing around boiled sweets to everyone during court! even though the Judge told her off she made sure everyone got one! |
