0 LK had another 2 am tank today. I accomadated him with coffee at 12:00 am... then promptly screwed up and ate too much sugar at 6:00 this morning making myself higher than a kite. I blew it and feel like hell this morning. being diabetic is a pain in the ass especially when your diet controlled.

0 You don't have to go to those bulk food chains to buy in bulk. Many small mom and pop operations will cut you deals if you buy a large amount and will come down more as the order increases! Yup.....the old fashioned way still works
My one friend used to go to the Mar-Lin meat market and ask about prices on for example chicken legs. He'd start at 10 pounds then ask well what about for 20? 30? 50? until he hit a plateau or what he could store. At the time legs were going for .99/lb average and he sometimes could get a deal for .49/lb! I can't imagine $10/lb for anything under a prime rib or fillet mignon cut. You're really getting whacked hard there Twitch!

0 There are no more mom and pop operations here. Everything is a big chain. EVERYTHING. To find a single owner restaurant is a big deal now.
NJ has always been expensive to live. You can't get a can of peas for less than a dollar! And that's supermarket pricing! WalMart here does not have a food store in this state. I think ONE recently opened up but I guarantee if we drive there just to price shop, it's the same. Like I said, the cost of living here is 50% higher than the rest of the nation. That includes clothing, food, rent, mortgages, insurance rates and on.

0 have you ever considered a road trip and a big truck? It might seem silly but very tempting

0 There's only two of us. I mean really, how much food and toilet paper do I need to stock up on?

0 You can never have to much t-paper!!
I'm getting low and I have 9 rolls. That is just not right. But when you live 10miles from town (one way) you need to stock up on things. Don't want to run out of something you might need. Milk and bread I can get Bruce to pick up on his way home from work. But I like were I live, I like my lake in my back yard.
