Don't waste your time.

The Mayans were right.
The Catholics were right.
All the other religions were right.

Armageddon comes and John Cusak stumbles upon a government operation for evacuation of the planet while camping with his kids. All kinds of impossible and improbable escapades of escape occur on the way to the arks. Yadda, yadda, yadda, Cusak saves the day. Humanity is saved.

What a load of crap.

I actually watched this over the weekend, thanks to that Wii and netflix. (that shit rocks BTW)
Anyway, I had a wee bit of wine and slept through some of it, so I didn't quite see how they knew all this shit was happening, but was awake for about 1 hour and 30 minutes of "nick of time" bullshit.
I agree, don't waste your time.
My big question was that if 90% of the planet was swallowed up and covered with water, how were they able to still make all those phone calls right up to the last second?

Also, if there were great canyons opening up would there really be enough water to take you to the top of Everest? If the ground was opening up, where was all that earth going to? I had to be going somewhere?
Those fucking cell phones work anywhere I tells ya, I should get me one of them.

Calm down! Its only science fiction. I personally liked how Africa is the new continent at the end of the movie.

It's science crap.

Twist is right, how does the water go to the top of everest if there are huge gaps in the earth?

How could what's his face there drive for 20 minutes narrowly missing all kinds of falling buildings and shit that was killing everyone else, then get into a plane and do it all again.

Bah, whatever, my fucking cell phone won't work if I'm in Walmart, let alone if the world is ending.Hysterical

EXACTLY.

Now I don't mind science fiction but crap almighty, let's keep it somewhat probable on the things that need to be endured!

I watched it for free and I still felt ripped off. The continuity was good tho - the whole thing was a disaster from start to finish.

Even though it was extremely contrived and implausible, I liked the CGI in it. Good eye candy.

I thought the first five times they narrowly escaped falling < insert name of large object > was great fun and I was laughing my head off but it went on too long.

I liked the other awful movie about the sudden onset of winter with Jake Gyllenhaal, that one was over-the-top fun too.

The one where they holed up in the NYC library until they were rescued? I forget the name of it.
