His eyes are angry, the infection is deeply set behind them, I have only a couple of more days worth of anti biotics I don't know if it will be enough, but his temperment is playful, He purr's real loud when we take him out of the large carrier He stays in, his appetite is good, goats milk and salmon or chicken are his menu he eats well and often.

Im going to call the vet today and see if I can get some cheap help from them.

It took me two full months of treatment for my cat when he had it and it wasn't nearly as bad as yours, Havoc.

The vet should give you Terramycin for the eyes and Kefflex (spelling?) oral antibiotics. These things are tough to get rid of with mild cases, nevermind bad ones.

If you can get some KMR (mother's milk replacement) for him add that to his diet. It will help a lot and it will have extra nutrients and vitamins to help him that the fish and milk don't give him. You have to be careful with milk and cats because they are lactose intolerant by nature and although goats milk is much better and lower in lactose, a weak immune system won't allow for it sometimes. You can get the KMR in pet stores and it's not expensive. I like the ready made cans but if you need to go more economical, it comes in powdered form and you can mix it up as needed. I found that powder to be clumpy at times, even with the blender.

What a shame that kitty is in such bad shape.

I'm sure that he will be a much loved addition to your family and be a very happy cat. Please post pics as he recovers.

The kitten is still alive, but not because the vet didn't try to put him down, He has very high ocular pressure and may never regain his sight in fact he may lose his eyes if it can't be controlled., we opted actually demanded that the vet put him on an extensive anti biotic regime, both oral and drops for the eyes, The kitten is healthy other than his eyes, appetite is great, playful when he's awake and gentle and sweet as any kitty I have ever seen.

Sorry about the delay in posting.

Did he say why there was so much pressure? Was it from the URI or did some asshole hit the kitten in the face?

I had a cat run into a wall and she hit it so hard she damaged her eye. We weren't sure if she would regain sight or not but it did take a course of antibiotics and Terramycin ointment for about 2 months. She wound up blind in the one eye from the pressure and swelling. We figured sight would be a miracle.

If he's blind in both eyes you can call him Stevie or Ray!
