Sylv' knows I love cars and motorbikes and she is totally inept at any motorised subject. I can't expect her to be, she can ride a pushbike but hasn't for years. She can't drive, navigate or identify any car.
She told me today she got in her friends car (which she has been doing on a monthy basis for a year now) and noticed the dash was similar to my car I used to pick her up in. She was delighted to tell me her friend had a modern SAAB, just like ours (except we sold this particular SAAB over a year ago).
She also said today she knows her husband's car is a black Peugeot estate (that for her is enough to know).
So at lunch he is parked outside the shop reading the paper. We both see him (or so I thought).
'Well, I better go, lots of shopping to do'
'Bye Sylv'
I watch her as she turns round and starts tugging at the passenger door handle, peering through the window.
'Mark (her husband) let me in'
'Errr, Sylvia?'
'What?'
'Your car is over there. This is a black Honda Accord'
So she can identify black cars.
