No I didn't miss the point, really I didn't, all I'm saying is that they do list the quantity of grills to make a full replacement.

The problem is that when you order from a website there is no one to ask you how many you want.

why is it that you want to replace these grills again? is it because they are hard to clean?

They're rusted up and a bit pitted from use.

I had a Kenmore grille for about 7 years. Theyt just don't make them with the same quality as they did just a short time ago.

I now have a CharBroil and love the thing! I can replace all 5 burners for about $80.00.
The ingition runners cost less than $20 for all 4.

The bottom line is......I can replace all the guts (not including the grates for under $200 and essentially have a rebuilt grill.

The cast iron grates run $36 each so I can rebuild the whole thing for right around $300. Original price on the grill is $785.00 so if I rebuild it twice I can milk plenty of time out of it and then replace it instead of a 3rd rebuild unless the body is still in real good shape at which point I'd redo it again.

Check out what they have at Lowes and Home Depot. Don't shy away from Perfect Flame or Brinkman either. DON'T listen to the sales pitch for Weber......they're over priced, over rated and have problems with vapor lock.

I have a char broil, it's a damn good grill, I bought it used at an auction 10 years ago and it's as good today as it was new.

TK, soak those grills in a strong TSP soulution and forget about the rust and pits, they are fine and will work for years to come.

One piece of advice though, make this the last time you clean them, in the future just put the grill on high and let them self clean for about 15 minutes at temperature and then brush them with a brass brush believe it or not the oils left from cooking on them seasons them and will keep them from rusting and pitting just like your favorite cast iron skillet, the heat kills everything and they will last for decades.

Havoc, they rusted over the winter. We usually do that High Heat method as I know it seasons cast iron. I have cast iron cookware that I've had over 30 years now with no problem of rusting. I don't know why they rusted over the winter.

What is TSP solution?

Oh and these stupid things had a paint type coating when new. Like most new grills, they coat those cast iron pieces like that and IMO it's a shit thing to do.

That new piece going back does not have the coating on it though but it's about half as thick as the ones originally with the grill. I drop that on something hard and the iron will shatter like glass. I've had that happen several times in my life with thin cast iron.

I have used sears parts service a few times once for a refridgerator defrost sensor and a thermostat and once for a condenser dryer filter. I had good luck but they were individual parts and not labled like your stuff.
Thats a lot of money for that one single part.

Oh yeah.......go Bruins!!! Overtime 2&2 Shock
