The cowards I'm talking about are the ones in the senate and congress. I have less of a problem with Trump than I do with them. They are cowering to the mob rule. Our government has ONE job - to keep us free. They are taking that away right now under the guise of this pandemic. It's here, don't get me wrong, but no one knows what to do about it other than lock us up and kill local businesses.

I think the total death rate in the US was 1.3% last I saw. Not much right? So we are loosing 'freedoms' for this paltry 1.3% right? Please consider the US population of 331,000,000. A death rate of 1.3% if covid-19 is simply allowed to spread would mean 4,100,000 deaths.

Personally I find all the assholes with the 'wearing a mask equals communism' signs to be just the kind of people I would like to see die off. Morons. The country would be better off without them.

this has nothing to do with masks. It has to do with their arbitrary mandating use of them. Rioting and protests are OK but eating in a restaurant is not. Small local businesses apparently are incapable of opening up in a safe way, but fast food, large chain corporations are allowed? you are not allowed to ask anyone with infections that are spiking up in new areas if they were out protesting. Why should they? I mean, why give out correct demographics and how it actually is spreading?

My idiot governor said you can go to the beach but you can't sit on the sand or swim. He said the ocean has the virus. THE OCEAN. He backed that up fast. But it's a zombie walk because you can't sit still. Boardwalk operations only opened this week. 90% of them are open air facilities. Why couldn't they open?

DMV opened today. There is a 2 mile long wait in two directions to get in there - and they are by appointment only - because they consolidated them to prevent this. Really? making less available will make them less congested?

This isn't on Trump. He can guide but the states are the ones who are making the decisions regarding this, and that's how it should be. The numbers are skewed big time. they are saying nearly anyone who dies now are dead from COVID-19. Hospitals get more money if the patients die from it, so they are allowed to skew the facts. Our idiot governor said "we are counting about 1500 uncounted deaths". someone please explain that to me? How do you count the uncounted?

This thing has been mishandled from the start and I cannot see any logical reason to see why it's on Trump other than the man desperately needs a speech writer and stick to that which is written out for him.

You can't ask if they were in a protest? Here you can and do. It is one of the fundamentals of contact tracing.

I haven't needed the DMV. I'm not sure if they are open here or not. I did all my stuff online. We did a doctors appointment for my dad online. We have been doing HOA meetings online. Works well. Should do more of that even moving forward.

Where do you think hospitals get their money? From the fed? At least here hospitals CAN get money from the fed for covi-19 deaths. If they are over 65 and on Medicare. That is it. But I do agree about how the gov in general uses statistics. They are very deceptive. Simply look at how the highway safety department classify causes of accidents. Speed is ALWAYS listed as a cause, even if it has no actual factual bearing on the accident.

The states are SUPPOSED to be able to run their own state. But there have been dozens of instances of the fedgov interfering, usually to help cover their fumble at the states expense. There is plenty of blame to go around, and yes fedgov owns its fair share. I guess I am just far less trusting of fedgov than you seem to be.

Oh I don't trust the fed at all. They are at the top of the list of distrust.
My point is that anything the fed does here, our governor does the opposite and mostly for the wrong reasons. The massive amount of deaths here and in NY are because these asshats in charge sent sick people INTO the nursing homes only to have it spread like wildfire. Cuomo said that he was surprised that so many deaths were from those staying inside. Really? Fucker, he sent them directly to their deaths. Murphy bears the same stupidity. BOTH blame Trump for their decision.

And that's a big fat NO on asking if they protest here. Can't be stepping on the rights of rioters can we? There's a HUGE difference between protesting peacefully and rioting for the sake of it.

COVID cases were mandated to cost nothing (I THINK) to be treated, so yeah, they fudge the numbers to get money from the fed. Both NJ & NY governors are sitting on billions and still keep asking for money from the fed. Pretty sure the money they have should have been used for what it was meant for and not to be sat on. They are both blaming Trump for the nursing home deaths. That is absolutely not his fault.

What I want to know is the long term plan for all this. Will they lock us up every time someone coughs or has a fever? NO ONE has said a word about long term plans.
