Yeah, he enriched my life in the short time I had him, I just wish I could have done more for him. He went from a fearless friendly cat with his tail held proudly aloft to a fearful old man cowering in his carrier every damn time I took him to the vet's which was way too often and with little benefit. He would have been better off if I had just left him to lounge comfortably at home enjoying his last months but hindsight is 20/20.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda....there's no right answer. We just try our best.

We had one a year or two ago, he showed up one day and we only had him for about a year. He was the coolest, easiest going, laid back cat I've seen in a long time. Then one day it hit him like a ton of bricks, they next day we had to say goodbye. Did we miss something? Could we have done more? Who knows, we did what we could and we all had a good last year with him.

Anyway......things are still chugging along in my neck of the woods, back to work tomorrow after a week off for vacation.
It sounds like the positive cases are still fairly low around here with only single digit deaths in this county. It also seems like most nursing homes are fairing pretty well too.
Walmart was fully stocked this morning except for sanitizing wipes and cleaning stuff.

That's a handsome fellow, and he looks young and healthy. I'm sorry you only had him for such a short time.

That is a good looking boy there, Twist. Sorry it was so short lived as well.

I'm down to 2. Sofie and Wobbles.

The two black and white sisters were hard to lose and the gray stray, Mikki, was like yours. One day she was fine, the next she was "lost and walking into walls and in circles. It was horrible to watch.

They just locked us down indefinitely today. As far as I know they are not testing children and so many people here are tired of being locked down they're not obeying the rules anymore. If they don't test the kids we're never going to beat this thing. I cannot fathom why they aren't.

It's definitely a shit show all the way around. But it's kind of uncharted territory. The decision makers are damned if they do and damned if they don't and are gonna take shit forever from all the Monday morning quarterbacks when it is all over.
I'm all for err on the side of caution. However...it's easy for me to say because I'm still working and with the exception of only venturing out to the store once a week or so, wearing a mask 8 hours a day, and washing my hands an extra 700 times a day, my life has not changed very much.

Matt is still working too. He's essential for fire & safety. During normal times I worry about what he gets in touch with. He goes into schools, hospitals, nursing homes etc. Now he goes into empty buildings and no one knows if those building have been sanitized let alone cleaned.

I understand the people want to get back to work and all that, I just hope they don't open everything back up too soon.

But but but, I need a haircut!

shhhh... I'm going to a friend's house to give him a haircut Friday night. They opened dog grooming salons here and they're opening parks and golf courses again. Now if idiots don't ruin it for us again we should be opening sooner than later, bit by bit.

May I suggest a Flowbee so you can DIY your hair?  Rofl OH and it's made in the USA

Holy shit!!!! I just looked at the flowbee site thinking maybe I could get one. I've been cutting my own hair for years, usually while drunk using nothing but the clippers and a hand mirror. I don't even worry how the back looks because I never see it anyway.
They want $100 for the flowbee with out the flowbee vacuum?!?!?!?!?! Holy shit!!! They say you should replace your flowbee like every 7 years too. Holy shit!!!!
The best pair of clipper walmart had to offer was like $14 and I'm been using them for at least twice that long.
I could probably give a decent haircut to a head that I could see all sides of.
