Two questions:
1) Where does the drain go?
B) Why is the wall pink?

0 i have it going to the 4" waste line. I put it in the same "hole" I had the manual pump going out through.
The wall is pink, beige and white in areas where the people liars we bought the house from painted to hide how truly fucked up it is down there.
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

0 One question:
1. When are the trenches going in? 2. Did you dump any gravel in around that bucket to try to keep the sand and shit out?
Your signatures annoy me.

0 Yep gravel in. Click the image and you can see all the rocks
No trenches. Eesh! Give it up.

0 Yesterday's test. Nothing - not enough rain! I'm not complaining. I'll open up that plastic and let that mud continue to dry out though so we can get it out of there.

0 If you had trenches you wouldn't need a lot of rain. You could be collecting water from the neighbors yard if you had trenches. Just sayin.

0 I don't want anything from my neighbor's yards. They're pigs. God knows what could be leeching through their soil!
Looks like we're going to have 5 days of rain next week so we'll have a true test.

Actually I have this vision, dig about 3 trenches across the basement fanning out from the sump pump line them with gravel and put in perforated pvc pipe sloping back to the sump pump. Then repair the floor, this would help collect the water from under and around the basement, rather than just counting on the "sink hole" effect. Besides, from where I'm sitting it sounds like a pretty easy and interesting project.
