Twitch,

I didn't mean for Sarah to switch him over totally to dry. I meant she should up the percentage of dry temporarily till he tightens up a bit.

The rice mixed in should do the same though.

No, never up the dry to tighten them up. I've found that does not work but does the opposite and makes the situation worse. Especially with that brand name crap from the supermarket. He's better with rice.

Cats do NOT need anything but meat in their diet anyway. Contrary to what these assholes on the TV try to tell you so they can sell that crap and make a fortune on it. When was the last time you saw your cat looking to eat the tops off the rye grass or timothy? Does he attack your plate for the peas and carrots? NO. I swear the pet food indudstry knows what saps are out there and they do prey on them with their pets!

Aw they are so sweet.
Kittens do get tummy upsets, but I'm sure he will settle soon once you get him into a routine of the food you want him to have.

Having been out in Ozzie sun I wouldn't want Irish complextion or a pink nose going out in it. Biggest Bush hat you can get on that kitten before he goes out, corks and all so the cockatiels can see him hunting Tease
Some of the wildlife is going to be bigger than the kittens anyway, you don't want them hunting Kangaroos.
My mum used to put kiddies sunblock on her cats ears, regardless of being pale, just because they are so delicate.

I haven't seen any kangaroos in my garden, but you never know!! They are not going to be allowed to roam, but we are building a run at the side of the house - and I know cats love to sunbathe, even though its a shaded area, they'll have a bit of sun.

Does the sunblock work? Would it irritate?

No messes this morning. All poos in the box were normal, though I don't know who was responsible for them, there was three and the box was clean before we went to bed, so high possiblitly of one being magpies.

He's a little fuzzball and a talker - will be no problem doing his nails and ears, I think. He will let you do anything to him.

Raven on the other hand, doesn't quite trust me yet. She can be a real nuzzeler and purrs like an engine, but gets annoyed if you try touch her paws or face. She likes Brian more than me, so I'll let him try.

This is hard work!! Last night was not fun! They were in to everything, and as soon as you get one off the keyboard, or out of you tea cup, another one would come from the other side!!

So, obviously, time to start teaching some manners! Today I let them come around with me while I did the chores - which meant they could explore some new rooms. We only lost one - Raven got locked in the wardrobe, but she was rescued by the crying Magpie - too cute!

So after that, I had breakfast - perfect time to teach them they're not allowed on the table - Raven got it straight away, put off the table once and hasn't tried since - she's very clever.
Magpie, not so much - I thought he was getting it after try number ten, but he just tried a new route, climbing up my back - I've got the battle wounds to proove it! I didn't react, I just put him down, like Twitchy told me too. A few more tries and now he seems to be getting idea - I'm sitting at the table now with the laptop and he is sunning himself at the back door.

I'm worn out!

Sorry, I thought it was obvious - Raven, girl, is the black one(she has two white paws, but we'll let that slideSmile), Magpie, boy, is black and white.

You're doing good Sarah!

Yes, kittens are bundles of energy and it's so cute when they have their wild time during the day or night and they make themselves so tired they just plop where they're standing and sleep.

Trust me, you're going to miss these early months of their lives when they become mature and sleep all day long!

A balled up piece of printing paper will yeild hours of fun when you're on the computer. Dont crumple it too tightly, you want it loose and 'noisy' yet still ball shaped.
