I don't participate! Ima go and make them jealous. I did have a pony ride gig there for about ten years until my divorce. The girl that used to live next door was really into that shit and they used to "practice" swordplay in the yard. I once sent my ex over as a home, with a pot on his head, a cardboard sword and the lid from the garbage pail as a shield and had him ask if he could play.

It was fucking hysterical. They were pissed. Ami (my friend) was the only one who laughed.

It was extra funny cuz he's a big fat fuck with crazy hair. Like an over-sized baby Huey in a fur suit.
They knew we were mocking them. The didn't find it funny cuz they take their swordplay serious.

What's really ridiculous is that they don't use steel. They use wood broom handles wrapped in duct tape. They make fun of the "showy" Renaissance clubs like up in Tuxedo, NY who use steel because and get this - "They choreograph their sword fights where we really bash each other because we don't have to fear being hurt"

Pennsic War - this is their big event.

I think a Christmas wrapping paper roll sword would have been more appropriate as it goes all funny and unravels half way through the fight. (Please NOTE... I kept that clean)
