Saw the painter today. Discussed who did my vinyl stripes and contrary to what the dealer said, it was NOT the same guy who does the work for him and there are many who do it in the county, again, contrary to what the dealer told me. Stupid fuck thinks I bought the story that there is only one guy in the county doing vinyl stripes. Yeah sure.
So, it'll cost me a discounted $2500 to paint them on, $3K if I want pearl.
$650 if his vinyl guy does the stripes. Met with the vinyl guy and since there is no way I can afford paint right now, we're going with his vinyl guy.
Gotta call the dealer, let them take these stripes off and get my check from them. When we were looking at them with him we noticed them bubbling up under the rear spoiler. Jesus H Christ, they did go to Kmart and get them I swear!
Might do a two toned design that is unique too. Lots and lots of really cool options he was showing us.
