Yeah I kinda figured that too without doing research on laws. It makes no sense that they would sell me an extended warranty for 8 years past the purchase date and anything done to the car would void it. Like I said, the dealer did say they'd still "ignore" after market stuff I add to it and that's what made me think they were throwing me a line of shit to start with.
Now my regular mechanic won't tune the CAI if I do it myself and he won't do any after market shit on the car for fear of repercussions from Ford for me. So if that's the case, I'll have to find someone who will do it. Frankly, I don't see why I can't just put the cone bit on what's there now. there's too much electronics these days in cars!
