So here I sit, in the middle of the damn snow storm. Got about 5 inches already. Twist..how you doing?

Been off work for a very long weekend (had Friday off through today)..get to go back tomorrow. I am glad my husband and I drive together. We work near each other, and he will be driving most of the way.

Flooding, rain, wind, power out until this morning. Fun.

I guess the electric company's idea of fixing things better after Sandy means power goes out weekly. idiots.

Well it's almost 24 hours since the first post. We got about a foot and a half or so. It seemed to be pretty much done by 5am or so.

Got about the same as you. Same with a friend (real life) from Attica I talked to on the phone this morning. Seems this was an equal opportunity storm.

Still very damp here, so I can safely say the fires at the school and hotel are well and truly out. Although I am thinking we need to invest in a boat soon.

The garden is so saturated it is impossible to try to put anything on it now without slowly sinking.

We're expecting snow overnight and through tomorrow. I tried getting chains for the car. no one has those "cheater" things. I managed a snow broom and scraper and new wiper blades. Sage advice from the nitwit at the counter, "Put bags of cat litter in your trunk for ballast."

Yeah, right. How about just stay home till the roads clear?

Meh, it was pretty much all over here by the time I came home from work yesterday. The sky was clear and the track was fast.

What's wrong with putting bags of litter or pea gravel for bed weight or trunk weight? It really does help.

Thursday I had a trip up to Fredonia,NY.
(Not too far from Twist)

The storm must have tracked to the north. I-86 was mostly clear for one lane and just a little slop in the other for the majority of the way from Corning to Jamestown. NY 60 was actually just wet except for a couple places where it drifted across and that was just slush. Fredonia only got 4 - 6 total!
