0 Thats not a frankenPC
A franken PC is a Compaq case with a Gateway motherboard, an Intel Pentium II 350 MHz from an HP, upgraded with an Intel Pentium III 550Mhz from who knows where (eBay purchase), with a mixture of PC133 SDRAM from Compaq, HP, AND Gateway... Hard Drives salvaged from a Trigem and a 40x SCSI CD-ROM from a Mac!

Nah, actually I had to buy a brand new 350W PSU for it I did however forget the nVidia RIVA TNT (AGP 8x) Video Card taken from some offbrand computer that was totally trashed by a power surge... everything in it fried but that lol. And then of course the Sound Blaster Pro 128 sound card off eBay and the 3Com ethernet NIC off eBay as well.

This is the original FrankenPC. Don't know the model names of any of the parts except for the processor which is a Pentium 3. Lived for about 3 weeks before it caught fire and died screaming. It's 120gb hdd still survives in my current pc as a backup drive. |
