I have the old I Claudius series that was run on PBS eons ago coming via disk from Netflix. I wish they had it streaming but they don't.

Matt never saw it, which surprises me, but it's funny how it's based on novels. I never caught that when I saw it back in '79.

Not here. Was on early like 8 PM, but it was on PBS so maybe the nekkid lady bits was why it was on late by you? PBS here had no restriction on that as it was considered an "educational" channel then.

I've never seen it either and since I don't have the netflix plan that includes DVDs anymore, I guess I won't be seeing it anytime soon.

Did you know a young Patrick Stewart was in this? He played Sir Janus. Was odd seeing him with full head of curly hair.

poor baby. It's Roman history. It's beyond everyone's age. Well, this is a combo of history & fiction and it's fun to watch none the less.

I gotta say, they really did a fine job of the video to digital conversion. The images on my high def TV are quite clear and non-pixelated. I get a kick out of the makeup. You can see the rubber cosmetics.
