Now you can see the fucking freak show and his red hair. He was arraigned this morning in a Colorado court.

http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/23/colorado-s...raignment/

There's video and stuff there too. Fucker looks like he kept trying to stay awake during the arraignment.

Shit like this makes me glad I live in the area John calls a "cesspool". We don't breed these kinds of crazies here. Yeah, we have our crime and we had Son of Sam, but these just don't happen with the frequency they do outside this area.

I also do NOT believe our strict gun laws have anything to do with that fact.

Ha ha ha, did you see Mexico's president is now calling for stricter gun control in the USA because shit like this is why guns are crossing the border to Mexico? Fuck him. Clean up your own country and you won't have a problem with American guns. How about a little control of YOUR SIDE of the border?

Mayor Bloomberg is shooting his mouth off with false stats again. Spouting how Europe's gun laws should be mimicked here due to the fact they don't have this kind of shit happen there. Is he kidding? Does he not remember last year when that island full of kids had a slaughter in Norway? And the bombing that was involved with it? When nuts go off in Europe, they are way worse than what happens here. The stories are endless if you search.

I'd like to know how he got into the theater dressed like a commando in the first place.

Well the thing is even with our gun laws if this guy did this here in jersey, there would have been no difference in out come. Before this shooting the only criminal record was he got a ticket years ago, this guy WAS a good, intelligent guy that snapped for whatever reason. Part of what made this shooting get to such a epic proportion was the movie theater I believe did not allow people that could conceal carry to do so.

Someone was telling me one of the victims who always carried was approached by the gun man, he instinctively went to reach for his gun but forgot he didn't have it because the movie theater wouldn't let him carry it on their property.

Not to mention this guy had an advanced body armor set up protecting all his vitals so even being shot at he would have stayed alive as long as possible even being hit. I still would think, if someone that exercises the right to carry had been allowed to, I dont think the death toll would have reached 12 people and 59+ injured.

Nothing was going to stop this nut-bag. He planned it for weeks, months even and the plot to put a distraction by blowing up the apartment complex failed, but showed how he planned the whole thing. I don't believe that rigged apartment was meant to kill cops when they came after they arrested them, I believe it was a set up so anyone going in to stop or complain about the loud music tripped the bombs and the distraction begins. That plot failed and due to that, it opened up in investigations what a fucking goddamn freak this guy is.

"movie theater wouldn't let him carry..."

See, there comes a point in time where *law abiding Americans* have to realize abiding by the law isn't always in their best interest when it comes to safety. I would have carried in the fucking theater myself despite *no guns*. If I had shot the bastard, then what, they would have me kicked out of the theater or charged with breaking some tedious law that just fell apart into a joke before them?

Fuck their prohibitions, it is often gun free zones where the danger is the greatest. I've carried in places like restaurants that said "no guns", but I didn't give a fuck, and not giving a fuck has likely saved my ass when I came out the door a couple hours later to find people looking to break into my truck. I've worked in places where no guns were allowed, wah wah wah, but fuck if I am not walking home at 2AM alone without my gun. Sorry, all it takes is once, and I don't give a shit if you fire me (don't get caught). If its more risky to carry than not, well, make the call.

People are starting to wake up I figure, concerning the fact that often the law isn't in the citizens best interest, but the gov'ts and/or monied interests. You can either live totally by the law (and get fucked over in the end) and obey like sheep for the purposes of others, or start weighing the risks with a more realistic judgment. If you still think you should cling tightly to the laws set by a gov't or state or corporate apparatus that doesn't give a shit about you, then well, good luck.

And if anyone was really carrying, ain't no chance really of killing the guy. Armor, smoke/tear gas, and tons of fucking people running around getting shot to shit while you're trying to at least plant a bit of lead on him somewhere without shooting some fucktard sitting in the second row.

And by the way, don't take that missive to mean I am generally a criminal -- I pay my taxes, stay out of trouble, don't do stupid shit, don't speed, I don't hurt anyone who doesn't hurt me, and despite it all, I do my best at forgiveness for a lot of things.

I only mean you to take it that when it comes to where following the law may lead you to your doom, weigh the risks of the choices you make, and at least consider things on a higher plain than merely following what some fucking bureaucrat or lawyer comes up with and puts to paper. Imagine if you will, had someone ignored the "gun free" theater policy, and had the courage to fight back, even if the outcome was likely their doom. What if, despite the odds, things turned out differently and the asshole who did this was killed by some gun owner carrying in that theater before too much death was done?

Is that person a stupid criminal now? Or is this person wrong for doing something based on the off chance that shit might happen?

Maybe I am just being full of shit or something. I dunno anymore.

Discarda, one person still clinging to life in the ICU in an induced coma and the totals still stand as they were.

Gunnen, you're not full of shit or anything of the like. That idiot Bloomberg is now spouting off that all cops across the country should go on strike until guns are illegal everywhere. WTF? Someone needs to slap him upside his fool head.

I'll tell you this, if I move back to NYC, my guns come with. I can't carry, but I'll have them in my house and I'll take that chance.

Stricter gun laws would never have stopped this senseless act. Crime is highest where there are no guns allowed and it's easier for a criminal to get a gun than it is for the law abiding. It's all backward bullshit and Gunnen, you are right. This is not about our safety, they want to control us. The entire point of this country's existence is WE ARE FREE. They keep taking our freedom away one chunk at a time. Too bad the founding fathers didn't put in that you had to have some semblance of intelligence and understanding of our Constitution to be eligible to vote. Too many grubbers at the voting booth who think someone should be in charge to take care of them pulling that lever.
