Philosophical question aside, at that point personal perception is moot. Reason? You would have grown up learning that the hue that you personally perceive is blue and therefore regardless of whether I would see it as green through your eyes YOU would still identify it as blue.

Logic is a wonderful thing! Tongue

That's what I wanted to hear.

I'm getting tired of people who think that giving a problem a name makes it OK.

Worse yet, RE-naming a problem to make it, if not ok, not so "traumatizing" for those afflicted. Henceforth we now have bi-polar disorder in place of manic/depressive. And before that it was termed manic-depressive psychosis. Really they have lumped truly manic-depressive together with mood swings and muddled the entire playing field.

Just more to thank the sunshine, rainbow and unicorn crowd for.

Much of this bullshit comes from the education system and I don't mean just the U.S. system. Worldwide there is a trend to not teach kids HOW to think but rather WHAT to think.

My favorite is addiction is a disease. OH BULLSHIT!

A disease is something you get or are afflicted with due to no fault of your own.
An addiction requires you to ingest, shoot or pop something habit forming and you are too weak-willed to quit.

Incompetence.

When it comes to workplace incompetence if one is allowed to continue in their position after demonstrating such, then their supervisor is just as guilty of the same. Nincompoops drive me up the fucking wall. How did these fucking wastes of flesh get their jobs? Some bleeding heart decides that they will be just fine and everybody deserves to be able to work. Well, though it is pretty much true that everyone deserves a chance to work, if you aren't capable of doing the task at hand then you need to find SOMEPLACE ELSE to work doing SOMETHING ELSE that you CAN handle.

Damned fucknuts.

I agree completely with his nincompoop assessment. What's really frustrating is when you see these people get promoted because there's no other way to get rid of them. That's how we end up with so many fools in management.

Read a theory a while ago which I've seen happen in the real world quite often. Person A gets a job, and does it well. They are promoted. Cycle continues until they can no longer do their job well. Then they sit in that position. Net result, people who have been working for more than a few years cannot do their jobs.

The Peter Principle. Lucky for my I'm an under-achiever and I'm still in a job I'm good at.
