Opening ceremonies are awful! That's never been anything I'm interested in seeing.

Saw a little dressage and I have the stadium jumping and more dressage on the box reminder list. I couldn't fin anything showing the cross country Tantrum

Watched some fencing today and have a few things like gymnastics to look forward to later.

We don't need the BBC Tongue

I think I've had about as much Olympic swimming as I could stand. It's become boring at this point.
What happened to all the other summer sports? All they show are volleyball, tennis, swimming, gymnastics and the very least amount of equestrian events they dare.
I want to see the shot put and the discus and javelin throwing!

This thing is so full of hype and the commentators need to STFU because they are NOT doing anything but blabbing over the event instead of giving useful info on what there is going on. I'm very disappointed in this.

We got 5 dedicated channels. 3 running live and 2 with highlights. Then the BBC channels but I haven't watched much apart from the opening ceremony on that. Which didn't do it for me. Since when was an opening ceremony a recount of the history of the host nation? Whatever. South Africa won 2 golds in swimming. Poor old Phelps Tongue That's about it for our medals I think though.

I think the track events and things like shot put and javelin don't start for a while.

We have 6 "dedicated" channels and they added two extra ones for soccer and basketball - which they are showing on the 6 dedicated channels anyway. It's frustrating. We're only getting bits and pieces of events, a few minutes here and there and it's not right. Those 6 channels which are supposed to be 'dedicated' are bullshit. Half the time they are showing regular programming and that stuff on there are bullshit shows in syndication! WTF?

Worst coverage ever this year.

I can relax now I have completed my paperwork (just need one or two signatures from the boss and it can be posted!)

I've still seen very little, after running the shop all day. Dealing with lots of out of townies, running to the surgeries after the shop shuts get home at 6pm, feed pigs, 3 hours of course work...bed, bath if I don't think I will fall asleep in it.
('*Sign-posting does not mean giving directions to Weymouth and no it cannot be put towards your pharmaceutical assessment' Mike)

Saw a bit of the swimming (before falling a sleep) it is a daft sport, same people doing the same thing just for longer or with a friend.

Started watching the boxing, that was good, managed to stay awake for 2 bouts.

The funniest observation was in a coffee shop in Salisbury just prior to the wedding ( Yahoo ) the shop had a laptop on the counter and the staff were watching it between service. One member of staff was a good 20 stone (clearly she was eating the profits). She was telling everyone how exciting it all was and how she loved the cycling and the rowing (which was on). As our single sculler came in on a Bronze she began to jump up and down Shock
Mark asked for a refund on his crumpet, it made him ill seeing the sea of movement under the uniform.

Anyone catch the men's 100M qualifier with Jamaica's Usain Bolt?

He CLEARLY held back the last 10 meters. That guy is greased fucking lightning as is his team mate Yohan Blake.

Watched a little of it, LK. I'm waiting for the good stuff like javelin and discus and shot putt. I'm bored to tears with swimming, running and volleyball and tennis.

This is the worst Olympic coverage ever.

So what channel are they on here? All I keep seeing is the fucking swimming or diving. I also am quite ambivalent toward the running.

I'll say it again - worst Olympic coverage ever.
