Crap News Bad News. Wish I could find myself on the drunken thread, but not now Looking a flights again, in the glimmer of hope of a trip.

0 When are you aiming for? I would look in April (late), May or June. Let's stick with warm months.
Why are you having such a hard time finding a flight? Don't they run jets back and forth to the USA all the time?

0 Yep there is a constant supply of flights, but the main issue is :-
the cost the airports - your end and ours the times, crack of dawn and afternoon landing or sensible time and late at night landing... The best option appears to be an all inclusive and late booking. Was looking at October again, but the boss has asked me not to take too much time off then, we will be short staffed if he can't find a temporary replacement for Dee (she will have had her twins by then). If we aimed for March/April it will give us more saving power and time to come over.

0 March is still rather chilly here. April, May June are ideal weather months and lots to do. Nothing really is going on Jan, February and March.
I found a great app for my phone that will ensure we have a great trip! Let's not do fall anyway, too cold to have a ton of fun. As soon as you know when, let me know and I'll TRY to get hockey tickets for the four of us too. Since you guys have never been to a pro game, we want to try to make that happen. If it's playoff season, you're in for a treat.

Mark was looking at 'Classic trips' but they are 3 weeks! Who gets that much holiday in one go? It looked good though, New England in the Fall.

0 New England in the fall is COLD. And how many colorful trees can you look at before getting bored. We have trees here too.

0 I just got back from a massive four-day weekend of guns, BBQ, grilled animal carcasses, and booze. I think I must have sent about 1000+ rounds down range total over the weekend. It was a grand time with the folks I was doing it with. Camped the entire time and I think the people who sat next to me on the plane really appreciated my manly essence.

0 Watching the shuttle Enterprise do the fly-by's around NYC right now. So damn cool! I wish Matt was able to take today off so we can drive in and see it live but we'll settle for a trip to the Intrepid museum again in the summer so we can look at it in person.
They're going to land it at Kennedy airport and then in June they'll bring it to the Intrepid by barge for display and it's forever home. I think they have another one going to LA in September and one went someplace south the other day, all on permanent display. If you never had an opportunity to check out one of the shuttles in person, I highly recommend you do if you are near an exhibit. It's really cool and so much bigger than a rocket (Apollo) capsule. I was able to tour one down at NASA when I was in Florida. We took a detour on the way home from Bike Week. If anyone is in the Virginia / Cincoteague area, on the way to the island (Chincoteague) there is a NASA station there and you can sit in capsules and do all kinds of space stuff.
