It was announced today that President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009.
Now considering that the nominations close February 1st of each year, this means old "Barry" was only in office for 11 days.
The committee said that it gave him the award based on his accomplishments and not his intentions. Really? And just WHICH accomplishments would they be?
This simply goes to show that the Nobel Peace Prize has been degraded to being a meaningless accolade bestowed on only the most left wing individuals who happen to be making news at the time.
Obama is the 4th US President and the 3rd sitting US Prez to get the award. Do you know who the other 3 were?
Well....the one not seated upon winning was Jimmy Carter.
Now who do you think the other two were?
