So we make a fast run to the store last night to get cold cuts and snacks for Matt's lunch. He decides he wants to try the generic / off brand Cheeze Doodles.... Kurly Kurls - Baked Cheese Snacks.

They're cute too. They have this whole history on how the cheese curl snack was invented.

Ok they look innocuous enough and although the ingredient list isn't as "pure" as the brand name, he's the one eating them with lunch, not me, so we buy them.

Unpacking the groceries and I pick up the bag to put them away and I find what looks like a super thin pretzel stick. Upon closer inspection IMO it looks like extruded poo.

Well, ain't opening that bag! I called ShopRite and talked to the manager and told him he might want to pull this stuff off the shelf and we'll be in later tonight with this thing.

Whatsit look like to you guys?

Oh I'm sure those plastic bags come off of a big roll at the krazy kurl factory when they bag the shit, I mean kurls. That definatly looks like a rat had gotten caught in the plastic rolling machine at the plastic bag making place and probably most of him got away, except for a few toes, his tail, and it squeezed the poop out (pictured) out of him.

See nothing to worry about, when they test the krazy kurls they look for rat shit but it's in PPM (parts per million) so as long as the rat shit is below a certain number, let's just say 100, or 100PPM everything is fine. So, to sum it up, if a batch of krazy kurls has one million kurls in it you can have one chuck of rat shit and it still passes inspection. The FDA says that is safe by their standards.
Rip that sucker open and chow down!!!

No thanks. I'll return the bag and buy a new one that is very expensive and brand named. I don't even want to open that nasty thing in my house! Fuck what the government thinks is OK for me to eat too

I am perfectly capable of knowing that rat shit, rat parts and anything else that happened to die in the processing and get caught in the food is not good for me. If I were to eat a rat, it would be because A) I'm starving to death and B) It will be slaughtered and prepared properly. eColi is not part of my diet thankyouverymuch.
