yeah I know. I was thinking the same thing. Looks like she is using one of those free templates that come with the website and had her 8 year old set it up. Might be good for me in the long run!

Looking at the welds, it looks like her bikes are made in China too. The frames anyway and on her site she brags her bikes are made in the same factories the big manufacturers are made in (paraphrasing here). That says China to me.

I was liking that 500 and I like that 700.

Oh and we may save money on a bike for Matt. My friend Bobby has a Trek sitting in storage doing nothing. Says it's brand new. We'll take a look and see. Bobby went and bought a hybrid and likes it better. Ugh, don't know why, those things are like riding with ape hangers.

Find out what model trek you are gonna look at.

The Motobecane website does say that those are $1000 bikes she's selling for $500.
Motobecane was a French bike, a really good one from what I've heard. These must be the American version playing off the name.

You gotta get over that made in china thing, the only way you will get an American made frame is to get a Cannondale before the new farmed out frames take over or go to a custom frame builder.

Yeah, is it obvious I have issues with things not made in America? Can't help it. My father instilled that in all of us.

Nope. Just kind of sitting it out until we pick up that Trek for Matt this weekend. Probably tomorrow. Matt seems to think that I'm going to use that Trek. Bobby is 6'1" tall and I hardly think that bike is my size!

I'm still seriously considering that website for the dual suspension bike. I keep going back and forth on it. I like the idea of the bike shop and it's warranty but she gives the same shit only she's in Florida or Texas or someplace far away.

I got plenty of time yet. I don't plan on buying until December of after the tax return comes.

Let me know what model that trek is. Better yet post a pic or two of it when you get it.

Okey dokey. I won't be complaining about it even if it's rusted up and shitty. It's a freebie and I can tinker with it and fix it up for Matt over the winter Smile
