Stupid raccoons, last night I put up the bowl of cat food out on the deck. So about 4:45am I go out the cats are waiting, I put the food back out, a damn coon runs out from under the deck. I figure he's scared and gone, 5 minutes later he's eating the food, I scare him off and get my coffee and sit down at the computer. I look out when I get my second cup, foods gone, coon is gone, cats still look hungry. Tomorrow I'll whomp his ass with the broom.

0 OOH set up some kind of system that works of motion detectors. Have a barking dog sound every time the raccoon trips the detector.
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

0 But the cats would set it off too.
I think the broom bit is a good bet and besides.....it will teach the coon to fear Twist. 0 Yeah, I don't really want to hurt them, just let them feel the sting of my wiffle ball bat to let them know who the boss is.
Awwww, look, he's begging for cat food.

0 He's too damn cute! I bet you can tame him and make him an outdoor pet
I told you the story of when we rescued two inside a wall? I kept them for a short while. I was supposed to keep one and the asshole's coworker was to take the other. after a month of nursing both the noise was too much and I could see I was going to be stuck with two and that was too much. Besides, the whole idea of raising babies was to make them think you're their person/mom/dad whatever. It was at a point of take it now or forget it forever. I wound up giving them back to the animal rehabilitator because I didn't want to split them up.

Doesn't it figure....the day I would have glady run to Elizabeth and back (fairly short day) they shoot me off to Fredonia, NY :gah2:

0 8 for me.
The cat food stealing bastard got me again this morining. He must hang around and wait with the cats for me to get up and come out with the food at 4:45. The time they really pissed me off is when I left a 5 gallon bucket of bird seed out in the barn, they went in, pryed the lid off and ate and scatterd bird seed all over the damn place. I think bird food is more expensive than cat food too. That reminds me, a couple years ago I had a bowl of cat food out back at the edge of the back yard for some stray cats that were kind timid and didn't come up to the house. It was on an old bench and had an old covered cat box cover over it. I would see little birds around there all the time, those little chickadees. Finally I got out my binoculars and watched, the birds were going into the box and taking cat food. Everybody loves cat food it seems. Have you ever wondered about people that are trapped in their cars for days? I mean like in a snow storm or something. Why is it that they are never on their way back from the grocery store or have a 50 pound bag of old roy dog food with them or something? They always have to eat their own foot, never the raw t-bone and 12 pack of budwieser they just bought.

0 I'm up. I've been up since 3 TRYING not to scratch my skin off. Whatever this allergic reaction is the meds are not working. I'm on prednisolone for 6 days and at a strong dose too. Bike riding will be boosted in the muscle gain dept but nooooo, that won't happen because it's raining today and yesterday. Go figure.
I'm going to call the doc again. 3 days on this stuff and I should not be itching anymore. Fucking mystery reactions. I hate them. About those stranded people.... You know I never thought of that. You're right. You never hear of anyone who actually got something to eat in the car. We should start an internet campaign to teach everyone stupid enough to go through some kind of mountain pass during blizzards to keep a bag of cat food in the car so they can eat it. But is there no ingenuity left? Can't someone get out, find some vines (yes even in winter) and make a snare for some food? Kill it with a pointed stick? A pen or something thin and pointy driven through the base of the skull will kill instantly and painlessly. Trapped in the woods you know you got kindling and firewood. Hell, set the whole place on fire! Someone will find you. The best one was a few years back when some people were in a camper going through some pass they shouldn't have in Oregon. The friggin camper was empty and IF I'm correct, there was a town like 5 miles in the ONE direction he didn't try. Pack the friggin camper!
