A bit late, sorry, lots to do today, off in the camper tomorrow to earn some pocket money at a club event. Smile

It rained this morning at long last! Hubby took the car so I must walk and carry a bale of hay home Sad

Oh, those last to posts are just asking, begging, calling, yelling my name, wanting me to fuck with you guys.......

Anyhow, Dave the raccoon did not show up this morning, that I know of, he's probably cleaning out the food dish right now.

My damn big toes hurt, I wear regular steel toe work shoes at work, I get my feet wet pretty often with all the water and milk and shit I slop around in all day. Wet shoes make my feet hurt, but lately it's just my big toes. I do not have the gout, don't even ask.
I have rubber boots but my feet sweat like a bastid in them and with the heat and sweating and stuff they rub my shins and I get like a heat rash on them. My legs are too pretty to have red marks on my shins.Blush

I'm really hoping that my machine does not run tomorrow, this happens a good deal of the time on Fridays. If it is down I will try to go to work early so I can get out early and get on the road to Pittsburgh.
I about have all my shit packed, I really kind of want to weigh it to know how much I am towing behind me, but I really kinda don't want to know, but then again if it is a lot and it doesn't kill me, I can be all like Fuck Yeah!!! I towed 700 pounds behind my mountain bike over a mountain and through the woods.
I really hope I don't have to puss out anywhere along the way and call for a ride home.Sorry
If I do, I will get drunk and find a hillbilly hooker somewhere along the way to drown my sorrows.Biggrin

Oh damn, I was just thinking, this might be my last posting session, I gotta load the car tonight and I'm off after work tomorrow.
So unless I post quickly tonight or tomorrow AM.........

Just don't forget your camera.

Enjoy your trek... I'm actually somewhat jealous. I've always wanted to ride horseback cross country at my own pace but never got around to it. Then when I got divorced, I had plans of taking the motorcycle, by myself across the country and back but I didn't settle with enough money to do that and have something to buy a house with when I got home. BUT - I did take the dog and the horse cross country to and from different competitions in several states if that counts for anything.

Anyway, your trip sounds like fun. Maybe when I get in top shape again I'll think about joining you on one of your smaller trips. Smile

I'm always planning and trying to come up with something and somewhere else, that I have the time and money for. I just ripped a thing out of a paper today, the D&H trail or something in PA. I must google it now.

Rail trails are pretty flat, think about it, do you ever see a train going up and down steep hills?
Usually they do a long gradual climb if they have to, nothing steep like you do in a car.

Oh, my bad. I didn't 'rail' all I saw was the topography on the map. It looks hilly. Trains go up hill. Long slight grades uphill for miles!

When we drove out to Sturgis, then to Wyoming (yellowstone), It took us a day shorter to come home than to go out. From WYOMING! It's all flat but uphill on the plains but coming home was downhill all the way.

Those types of rail beds usually follow natural valley cuts and wind around the bases of the mountains. That makes for some wonderfully scenic views! The southern end of that trail is only about 90 miles north of where I am.

Hey Twist......ever try any sections of the Appalachian Trail?

Away I go to Boyertown and then Elizabeth...again...notice a pattern here? LOL

No Appalachian Trail trail for me, as far as I know that's only for walkers.
There is a section of the Finger Lakes trail near here that runs through Letchworth State park,
that allows bikes, I've riden parts of that, man that is a rough ride, I carried my bike more than I rode...not really, but it was rough.

Oh, yeah, this is it. off to work early today, I have an easy down day, a little cleaning should be it.

Gonna try to work through "rumbly jumbly tumbly" guts today. I get the feeling that I'm gonna be thankful my truck has a sleeper berth. Lazy
