Where the fuck were the neighbors? You'd think they would question a party occurring at a supposedly vacant house. I'm not excusing it but there is a certain mob mentality that occurs when a huge number of teens get together to party.
I never held parties at my parents house for that very reason. But I can remember attending many parties that got so freaking crazy police helicopters were called in. *sigh* fun times!
If a kid had held the party at his house (without his parent's approval), I'd say he/she should bear responsibility for being an idiot and holding the party in the first place. This is a little different since they apparently broke in.
