Three times now!
Bless Eskie, he got up and worried on the platform again.
Philip started getting breathing problems- which could become dangerous after his accident, fat embolisms from the compound fracture. He is on injections to prevent clots, but his breathing was very laboured, so I called an ambulance when it first started at midnight, because I didn't know how to help him. They came at once gave him a nebuliser and oxygen and he settled again. Then he got bad again a 6am but he didn't call us on the internal phone until 7.30, so as instructed I called the service again and they came at once and this time after getting his breathing normal they took him in to A&E. They couldn't find anything so we brought him home.
Friends came and sat with him and my parents did the last hour so both Mark and I could go to work. Again his breathing got bad but by the time he'd eaten his evening meal he was ok again. Mum and Dad guessed he was ok. We got him to bed early (we were soooo tired) but at midnight he called us again and he was really bad this time I'd called 999 the minute I walked into the room and then got some steam going for him.
This team had a student with them and she realised she had assisted at his accident! So they knew the history from the start and were able to tell us about what happened even though they didn't actually take him to hospital another ambulance crew did. They nebulised him again and said our own doctor was to call the next day. They stayed for what felt ages, chatting to him asking how he got on in the last 3 weeks and although catching up and (chatting him up!) both girls in the crew discussed the history with the paramedic with them and decided it might be his bed! An allergy to dust mite, the bed was going to be thrown out just as he had his accident. He told them Shelby and the others had been on the bed but I took the blanket away after Cooper had a mishap.
So hopefully, a full night sleep tonight.
Eskie would like that too.:gah2:
