So that was a waste of time and effort!
100 cars. We gather, meet at the final check point and all of us head on over to Steel Stacks together. It starts raining on the way into the complex. Fuck. It poured so much that I had to take my shoes off and walk barefoot because they were so wet.
So we all figure out how to get someplace to dry off and get some food. Found a Perkins. Venom eats. We head home in the rain.
MY TIRES SUCK IN THE RAIN. And I mean seriously suck. So while eating we map out a longer route home but not where it's raining. Mother nature decided that she needed to fuck with me and test my driving skills. Top it off, we made a new friend locally and he followed us out and back. I couldn't even do the speed limit. The rain followed us all the way home and it was really a challenge holding the car straight. Half slicks and she's sliding everywhere. Two hands on the wheel at all times!!
I had some respite where they used that gravel and oil/tar to lay down the road instead of regular asphalt or cement. That shit at least gave me some grip. Took me 3 hours to get home. Took me less than an hour to get to Steel Stacks not counting the time at the two rest stops to gather up the cruise cars.
All the way home Matt kept saying, "We're changing those tires to something with actual treads!"
Too bad they didn't hand out awards for not killing your car in the rain.

I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head
