Had that on my 1962 Catalina. I got it as the option that Hurst called "roll control" when I bought my shifter. Of course I had to install all the plumbing and wiring with the solenoid myself. The nice part of that system though was that I could either fully release the front brakes (launch from the tree) or roll it off gradually for a nice long burnout which left me gummy tracks to launch from.
the burnout feature is something completely separate from launch control.
