TIP: when using a TD Gift card, it is very important that you have the zip code correct on Amazon or it will generate a fail. Amazon generates automatically that 4 digit extension, where TD did not have it in their records. It had nothing to do with the 3 digit code on the back of the card. Second call to TD sorted that out and the girl on the TD end added the 4 digit code to the zip and so far so good. '
Sam Ash are useless idiots.
I've never heard of a 'TD Bank' gift card. Those four digits on the end of your zip are just you entire zip code as generated by the post office. It's hit or miss for whoever uses them. They are always the same of course.
I gather you don't have TD Bank out your way. I thought they were national. Anyway, I think they're the only bank now with these available. It's a "pre-paid" Visa card for lack of a better explanation. I use them all the time for Christmas gifts because you can use these like any kind of debit or credit card. Just go to the bank, tell them how much you want to put on one and viola! Gift card generated and the recipient can spend it anywhere they want.
