OK got the door done and started filling in the sand base for the blocks.
Don't tell me to put rebar and cement. It's not happening. The pile of sand is wet so I have to do this in batches and let some of it dry as it's really heavy for me.
Just need to get weather stripping for the door and the aluminum plate for the bottom and a new doorbell.
The nasty hunk of wood in front of the door is only so I don't drag sand into the house.
The bit of wood you see unpainted under the door step will be covered up by the long base for the small deck.
