I somehow fucked up and pulled/overworked/tore/raped my muscles on the top and inside of my right forearm just behind the wrist bones. You can even feel the knot and what not there, and it really hurts to massage or rub it -- pretty obvious I didn't something not good. The inside of the wrist bone is very acute pain, sort of like someone sticking a fork in my tendons and pulling on it. I figured out what happened -- it was from wielding a kayaking paddle and having to rotate it with my wrists each time I dipped one side of the oar into the water, and over worked one side somehow. It wasn't bad till today at work, when, three hours into my shift, I was going into agony. I can't move my hand up and down, or rotate it without incurring further misery. Of course, when this was explained to management...well, that is a different rant for another time. I didn't even know this was possible, but I guess it is. Injuries heal though.
Having said all that, my main rant is that this shit might get in the way of riverboarding tomorrow afternoon. I have an overbuilt wrist brace that lets me grab things that are light, and move my fingers without letting me move my wrist much, but it still hurts. Maybe I will wear that on the river. I dunno -- last thing I need is to really injure it even more hitting a rapid and getting tipped. I hope I don't need a doctor's visit. It took me six minutes to type all this with just my left hand. Thanks be unto God I am left-handed.
