I guess they fed the kitties last week, cause none of them tried to eat me. Sorry twist. Maybe next time?
I dunno. I've never seen anything more than mild curiosity from them. Last year we came across a pride of about 9 lions walking down the middle of the road in the middle of the day. Which was odd in itself. They were pretty hungry looking, thin and very interested in a herd of impala a little way up the road. We drove on ahead, and pulled the car sideways, waiting for them to come to us. The shot of the one "snarling" is from then. We were in a little citi golf, or what ever you call them over there, so their heads were higher than mine. They walked straight towards me, one after the other, and seemed kinda annoyed that they had to go around the car. Never even seemed to consider opening the can though.
On sunday I was chatting to a couple of german tourists at a lion kill. The woman seemed to think a lioness had tried to get into her car because she had a chicken (presumably for dinner) on the back seat. But she managed to wind her window up in time. Then, as if predetermined, the lioness continued past the car with the now closed window and went off and killed an impala. I can tell you this, she would not have had time to close the window if it wanted to get in there. It was just using them as cover.
