Kruger National Park - PIG - 05-30-2012
So this looks like the right kinda place to post this.
I live under 4 hours from the Kruger National Park in South Africa...man, that's a lot of capital letters. Anyway, I'm heading off there this weekend for a couple of days of camping. Trying to convince my girl friend to milk her blind eye for a few days of sick leave and make it a longer trip. I'm hoping to get a few shots of black rhino or wild dog, but I'm not holding my breath. I figured I'd post a couple of shots here to keep me sane while I wait though.

I ALMOST got my dream vacation - 3 weeks on horseback through Africa until my ex decided that fucking my friend was a more fun option. That vacation is a pipe dream now
Take lots of pictures! I will live vicariously through you. The big cats are my favorites.

Please take as many as you can and post them. There's a large contingent of animal lovers on the board and pictures of critters from your continent will make for a very interesting thread!

It might be more fun if you got some pics of the cats roaming the streets and eating people and elephants and rhinos fucking shit up, or those park cats will do just fine.

I agree twist...sadly I've missed those ones. There have in fact been 2 escaped hyenas, a lion and a zebra not far from here in the last year. There was also some guy who had his car destroyed by an elephant not so long ago. But in general...not very common.

I would probably kill someone on a hired contract to spend a week in Africa looking at the animals in person. It's good they have parks there for these animals.

Get some hyena shots if you can. And jackyls, they are the coolest hunter/scavengers going!
