Whatever you do though......DO NOT put it in a dishwasher and only use butter or olive/vegetable/corn oil in it. Anything else will damage the coating.

Please try to imagine someone never having this problem. I have never had anything remotely akin to what you are talking about. I do a lot of cooking, and have for years, but never water doing anything remotely like that.
I guess this cook stuff is microwave safe?
I once have a coffee explode on me as I added milk to it from the microwave. Hence I no longer heat liquids like that in the microwave.
No Trudi, the pots and pans are NOT microwave safe. This was happening on the cooktop/gas burners with these pots.
What you experienced with your coffee and milk IS EXACTLY exploding water.
