That pisses me off too. People who make promises for something I will do without ever consulting me will get you a mouthful. We used to have a salesman who would promise nearly anything to make a sale. At the time it was him and my ex running the business. Ex was the physical laborer. He got fed up one 'last time' when he got a huge fence job and the idiot says, "Oh when you get to the house, there's about 500 feet of fence line along one side that needs the bushes cleared out so you can work." He got there and it was bushes that were allowed to grow into friggin' trees! He was pissed. Went back to the office and punched him square in the teeth. He never volunteered grunt work again.
