I think they were created for someone's pansy-assed boy who never could get the hang of his dirt bike with two wheels, so when he got tired of dirt on those three or four wheel things, they designed this for him and convinced him it's cool and he's not a retard for never mastering two wheels. I bet his bicycle still has training wheels on it.

Those three and four wheel things are farm vehicles as far as I'm concerned.
