Several of the distros I listed have whats called a "LiveCD". You run the OS from the CD without installing or changing any files on your computer. It lets you take a test drive of the software without damaging an existing & working system. The ones that I know for sure have a LiveCD version are:
Fedora, Mandriva, Mageia, CentOS, and DSL (Damn Small Linux).
Others may have it as well, I think the CD for Mint is a LiveCD, but it doesn't specifically say that it is.
